Where can I get a can of degreaser?

I read in a bicycle book that the best way in which to remove grease from bearings and other parts from these assemblies is to use a can of degreasing fluid. Where can I get one of these?

Some sad people have given everyone two thumbs down. It isn't me.

Actually, WD40 is probably the best degreaser I've found.

You can use a lot of things to clean up greases and oils. Good old kerosene works great and leaves behind a thin protective oily layer. Paint thinner (mineral spirits....or I think you guys call it something else over there. White spirits, maybe?) works well, too. At the auto store, you'll find a few types of degreasers in aerosol cans. Auto brake cleaner works well, too.

Honestly, anymore I don't use solvents when I clean loose bearings, and only infrequently on the chain. Wiping with paper towels will clean them up very nicely....put the bearings on the towel, fold it over, and just roll them around. Switch to a clean area of the paper towel and repeat, and they'll usually be shiny and ready to repack. There's no reason to use solvent, and I think it's environmentally more sensible to avoid them when possible. Q-tips work great for cleaning out the races. One place solvent does come in handy is cleaning the cage retainers, but it isn't totally necessary.

The other poster is right. Degreaser is degreaser. You can buy a 400ml can of posh stuff from a bike shop for 拢10, or a 750ml bottle of turps from Asda for 79p.
I've always got by on the latter.

WD40 is not a degreaser, WD stands for "water displacement" it's meant to get water out. Simple Green is great, you can get it at the grocery store.

Try a parts store like autozone or pep boys. There you can buy what is called engine degreaser. Try using that. Here's a link if you would like to buy it online:

Any auto parts store, or the auto department of wally-world or k-mart.

break cleaner is a good degreaser you can get it at an auto parts store

Just go to any motorcycle shop or probably just a motoring shop but a M/cycle shops your best bet.

Visit your auto parts store.

Most hardware stores

Try your local bike shop or Halfords, look for "Muc-Off". Would highly recommend it.
