How do bikers who ride without a helmet get insurance ? |
We have just come back from Florida where we saw loads of people riding motor bikes without a helmet - are they insured ? Some states don't have, or have repealed their "helmet laws". Simple. No. Health insurance often doesn't cover this, as the coverage is provided for thru one party's auto insurance. Auto ins. provides for medical expenses, and will be the first one to pay out after an accident, either the at-fault party or yours depending on circumstances. Freedom is what this country was founded on but many people are so busy running everyone else's life they forget to monitor there own. I wear a helmet most of the time but it's by CHOICE !. It depends on the State. Illinois, for instance, is one of the few states that do not require a helmet by law.
