Does anyone know where I can purchase...

Where I could get a new bike helmet clasp for my helmet? Don't ask me how but I have carelessly misplaced the clasp that connect under the chin. Does anyone know where I might be able to purchase a new clasp either on-line or from a store? Thank you !

A good camping/outdoor store should have some of the smaller Fastex (brand name) buckles for sale. Most helmets use those, or some variation of them...it's not a special helmet-specific clasp or anything. Does it look like this one? http://www.rei.com/product/630351 If so, you should be able to find it easily although the smaller size like that is less common in stores. You might even be able to swipe the buckle from the waist belt of a Camelbak or some other pack you have.

On the off chance you have one of the odd buckles I've seen on the market, those may be harder to find. In that case, you could probably replace it with another design that fits the webbing size of your helmet, or you could do like the above poster suggested and contact the manufacturer.

Try this: Go to the helmet manufacturer's web site and look for a "contact us" tab. Let them know the model and ask if they sell replacement parts directly or can recommend someone near you (be sure to let them know where you live) who can order or supply you with the requisite parts.
