I am looking into buying a bike now, but before i do, i want to know, how much is the average amount an 18 yr old male would pay per month for insurance. I'm not looking for insurance sites that i can get a quote from, since i have not decided on the bike to get so any quote might be off. Any roundabout estimate would be very helpful, plus if u can recommend a bike that wouldnt cost me a fortune that'd be helpful too =) The best thing u could do is go to geico or progressive and just enter the kind of bike ur looking at buying and that will give u a rought estimate at how much it should cost. thats what i did. i am 21 with an 2003 kawi 636 and its about 60 dollars a month for my insurance through progressive. and if ur looking at croch rockets then just look for something used but no older than a 2003 and nothing with more than 12,000 miles. u can do a kawi, honda, suzuki or yamaha, depends on ur preference To add to the above poster, consider a cruiser. The cost of insuring a cruiser compared to a sport bike is like night and day. Good luck. |
