I bought bicycle insurance 2 weeks ago, now I have to claim...Will it seem fishy to them? |
Will the company find it a little suspicious that I'm claiming only 2 weeks after starting my policy? I have to make an accidental damage claim on my bike. It will seem even more suspicious if you wait. Fully cooperate with the adjuster, answering any of their questions to the best of your ability. If you have nothing to hide, they should pay the claim. Although they may cancel your policy after they pay the claim. Perhaps, but so long as the claim is legitimate, sometimes is just works out that way. You do NOT want to wait. Late notice may serve as a basis to deny the claim if you wait long enough and/or in the carrier is prejudiced as to their investigation. The main question is if the loss amount (less deductible) jusifies a claim. Good luck. Well, sure it's suspicious! But waiting won't help - the adjuster will be able to tell fresh damage from older damage. Who cares what they think. You have a policy. They took your money. |
