i'm 17 and live in california and am looking for motorcycle insurance. i've been hearing that companies like AAA and state farm offer really low prices when covering a bike. why is this? i'm looking to get full coverage and would like to hear what other companies give goods prices AND good coverage. thanks to all who answered.

You have two choices. You can check with your parents' insurance company and see if they offer motorcycle insurance. If it's possible to get a combined policy with them, your rates will be lower.

If you do need a separate policy, you'll still need your parents' assistance to get it because you are under 18 and thus cannot sign a contract.
