How much will insurance cost for a motorcycle in CA if im 20 years old ? |
i wanna get a ninja 250cc as my first bike but read that some people pay like 3k for insurance on a bike. ive only had one speeding ticket with my car about a year or so. Im gonna be 21 in about 6 months if that makes a difference. I have seen where motorcycle insurance is more expensive than your monthly motorcycle payment. My suggestion would be to buy an older used bike with cash and then you can just get liability insurance which is much cheaper. I am 42 and am paying $12 a month on liability insurance on a Ducati 916. What ever you do don't buy a new motorcycle and finance it and pay full coverage insurance. I would list out a few street bikes that you like and call an insurance agent and ask how much for full coverage vs liability insurance. You can also look at bikes like the Suzuki DZR bikes which are consider street/dirt bikes (aka super motard bikes) which have cheaper insurance than a sport bike. |
