Engine Oil pressure light on my 05 kawa meanstreak?

Hey. I just bought a slightly used bike with roughly 5000 miles on it.
the guy said he just changed the oil this summer and only put about 250 miles on it. Just yesterday the light
went on. What should I do? Should I change the oil? Dont have a lot of cash for the service department right now.

Did you check the oil level?

Start with that.

If the oil level is good, and the oil is in good shape, then you can remove one of the rocker covers and crank the engine, see if oil is flowing to the head, then it's probably the switch.

Go cheap, Replace the oil pressure sensor on your block first. It could be a false reading.
