What kind of bike lock do you use and has your bike been stolen??!!?

What type of bike lock to you use (brand, model, style). Also, has your bike been stolen? If so, what kind of lock did you have, how was it broken, blah blah blah. Thanks!

I have an Onguard Pitbull ATB 2004 U lock. I have never had a bike stolen.

I don't get off. How can you trust a $20 lock on a 2G bike that makes no sense at all. When I commute with my bike I have a locker that I put the entire bike inside. Today's bike thieves are the best. I have heard of them using bolt cutters, welds, and car jacks to break locks. It is best to stay on if you can.

I use one with a bendable piece. Then I weave it through a tire and around the body of my bike. you can use 2 of these if you want to secure your back tire also. I have never had my bike stolen.

funny. i was ready to ride, got my bike to the door and the phone rang. i answered the phone and that fast my bike was gone. seriously bad timing. haven't seen it to this day, that was about 15 years ago.

Get a metal one. but it doesnt really matter what kind of bike lock you get. If someone wants it they will get it. The best thing for you to do is always lock up your bike in eye sight of where you will be.

I use a kryptonite lock, and a u-bolt lock on my back wheel just to be safe haha.

That way they can't roll it away even if they cut the cable.
