Today i did the stupidest thing i forgot to take off the disc lock off my bike.?

I wasnt going fast i was just taking of when i felt a thump and like someone was holding the bike. I was wondering what should i check tha could of got damage. It's a 97 ninja zx7 it was located in the rear. Thanks in advance for all your answers.

Just look everything over closely.How far did you move before it stopped?Were you just rolling easy or was it under heavy throttle?If it was just starting to roll your probably ok.Worst case would probably be a bent swingarm.Have someone roll the bike and stand right behind it and see if it looks like it's tracking ok.Check the disc and make sure it didn't bend it and look at whatever the lock came up against to stop it. No worries... You could only go as fast as the bike would go in less then one wheel rotation. That is hardly anything so I wouldnt worry.

Probably what happened was that the disc lock stopped against the rear brake caliper. You should check the caliper to see if there is any damage or if anything is loose. You can place it on a rear swingarm stand and spin the wheel to check if the rotor (disc) looks bent. And while it is spinning operate the rear brake with your hand to stop the wheel.

Also check to make sure that the disc lock did not come in contact with any brake lines.

Dont worry about the incident. As long as you didnt drop the bike or get hurt all is fine.

Don't worry about it, unless you were doing a hole shot or something. If you were just pulling out like normal, your'e most likely fine. And don't listen to the newbie/rookie crap (chit happen's)

put a coiled wire leash on it to remind you.
