How do I secure a bike in the back of a truck overnight?

Hi all,

I am doing some traveling to a camp site friday then sat and sun I will stay in town at a hotel. I am worried about the two bikes I am bringing. I have cables for the bikes but they may not even work to lock down the bikes in the bed of the truck ( they wont fit in the tie down holes). Any ideas? The only thing I can think of is to bring the bikes in the hotel room with me!

Give me a break man. Focus on the question. If you want to correct mistakes do it in a proper fasion or don't do it at all.

mount a sturdy eye bolt in the bottom of the bed of your truck ,by drilling a hole in a spot of your choice. use rust proof eye bolt,washers and nut.then you can run your cable lock thru the eye bolt and your frame and front wheel. If you want to get fancy you can find a chrome tie down that folds down,so it will fold flat when not in use. maybe at auto parts store or truck accessary store. they are common use for this purpose.
