How can I fix my bike pedal? |
Yesterday, I almost hit a car while biking with my friend. I was just leaving my house and pulled off the sidewalk with my friend behind me. There were no cars or anything in front of me so I just turned my head around to see how my friend was doing and then a car pulled out in front of me. I slammed on the brakes, never actually hitting the car, but I was thrown off the bike onto the car. After that, the left-leg pedal hasn't been working. It has been colliding with the bike. I don't understand why because the bike never hit anything, just fell to the ground. How do I fix this pedal? Here are photos The crank arm is hitting the chainstay. See the raw metal? If it hasn't been knocked loose at the bottom bracket but actually bent, it's time for a new crank...it can't be repaired. I can only think of three ways the crank arm would hit the chain stay. Your crank or frame is fubared. youve got a bent crank you need to remove it get a flat surface and hit it with a rubber mallet (aluminium dints easy) |
