There is no resistance when I pedal my bike, how do I 'set' the gears? |
The pedals go round but nothing else does. A friend said that I need to 'set' the gears. He described putting it in second gear and looking through a hole! Could anyone describe the process step by step for me please? It is a 3 speed sturmey archer, about 20 years old. Take a look at http://sheldonbrown.com/sturmey-archer.h... and scroll down to the heading "3-speed cable adjustment." It will tell you what to do. |
