I have a new bike and I rotate my pedals and it has no effect on the wheel. What is wrong? Is the chain on the sprockets? What I've done with mine (I have this problem, too) is bop the rear axle with a sledgehammer (lightly) and then sit and pedal really slow, or back up a few feet and it catches. It will sometimes catch, and you can pedal forward. But if you stop pedalling, it spins loose again. Then you can pedal at a slow speed, and slowly start to pedal faster, then it might catch. I'll add to this if I make more progress. if you see inbetween your 2 pedals (where the connect) their should be a little round thing with spikes (Sprocklets) just pick the lose chain back up and put each gap that the chain has into each spike. Your hands might get a little dirty, just wash it off. |
