Do you have to be 18 to buy a car

im 16
my parents are going to get me my license
but i cant freaking drive any of there cars they wont let me
so i want to buy one...i was thinking about this pontiac fiero for 300 dollars that had a engine fire
and then dropping another pontiac fiero engine in it from a junkyard or from ebay or something...i was going to buy an escalade for 5 grand but the insurance is outrageous for it so screw that and its
cuz i got places to go...and my bike is messed up...and wont hold up any longer...my hole crank just fell apart earlier...i fixed it
but it wont hold up...it might for maybe like 5 miles max...but i ride my bike like 10 miles a day...and my pedal is cracking in half
so can i? or not...if not what can i do then? i need a car really badly
and am willing to do anything

You can buy a car at any age but, if you're 16, your parents will have to consent to you driving it. They are the ones responsible for you until you are 18. They could make you get rid of it. Hopefully you'll talk to them about it and let them know you'll be the one to pay for gas and insurance. By the way, the insurance premium for a 16 year old boy will be extremely high.

the thing is that ur a minor under 18 soo u COULD buy a car if they sell it to u just u but they dont have to unless they are idiots and do so cuz then u could sell the car bak to them anytime even after crashed and totaled cuz ur a minor and can break the contract whenever...so they are most likely gonna have to have u bring a person ove 18with u like ur brother would be fine anyone over 18 i think.
