Do you believe God cringes in anger everytime as he looks at the same tree Adam and Eve ate from?

You know they werent supposed to and that mistake of eating the fruit caused all the bad thats followed since.

Its like when you own a bike and you wreck it and get hurt. Im sure you would cringe at the sight of the bike that contributed to your consistant limp when walking. Even though you love the bike you will still stare out those worn out tires, the broken pedal, that most likely were the cause with disgust.

Kind of the same Idea here. What do you think?

well jesus is forgiveness but iam sure he hates what they did but knows they are stupid humans hell bent on having their own way.
he knows how easy it is to get us to fall.

I really doubt it. God always loves us unconditionally. People constantly disobay his comandments just as adam and eve did. Besides he needed them to eat the fruit, this world would not have even HAPPENED if they hadn't. Mankind had to fall we couldn't have been born, and even if we had we would be perfect because makind hadn't fallen yet there wouldnt be temptation and there would be no point to life.

That would be consistent with a 'Satan-as-Creator' religion, if Christianity is to be believed.

By Christian mythos, the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil should almost be sacred. Without eating from it, there would be no free-will, and without free-will there is no salvation. Salvation REQUIRES free-will to one to choose to live for Christ, or not.

Disclaimer: I believe in God and JC is my homy but modern christians on the whole are oh so wrong and misguided. I think Jesus himself would cringe when he see's the way they limit themselves with the crazy rules gained form misinterpretations of his words.

But to answer your question: Assuming the tale of Adam and Eve is literal and not symbolic, God for starters is above anger and all other negative human emotions, and he knew this was going to happen any way. If you knew some action which you were going to take would wreck your bike and hurt you, then you did it and you then, as predicted did screw up the bike and hurt yourself, you would not cringe in anger either...

God put that tree there because he knew we couldnt resist the temptation. Our reason for falling was the same as satans. Pride. Satan told Eve that if she ate the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil that she would become as like God. Satan wants to be as powerful as God, and tries to make us think he is. Satan only has as much power as God gives him, and his time is very short.

Don't forget, in the bible it says Adam falls asleep and then everything starts to happen. It never says he wakes up in the bible. read it, nowhere to be seen. So, it's logical to assume the whole Adam & Eve stuff could have been a dream and man never was separated from God. he only thought himself to be so. Interesting way to look at it...

No, I don't think God cringes in anger. God is not a God of anger. He loves us. That is why He sent His son to die for us. His son died in OUR place. That is how much God loves us.

God knew that Adam and Eve were going to sin. God knows everything, so he doesn't cringe in anger. That is why He sent us Jesus. To take away that sin.

I personally believe that there was no physical apple. It's used as a story. Adam and Eve stopped trusting in God and they sinned. When they took their eyes off God, they no longer were looking at God (the Tree of Life). They were looking at the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. That is where the apple came from. When they lived by the Tree of Good and Evil (aka when they ate from the apple), they sinned. But God loves us so much that Jesus came to take away those sins!

Um God is formless and does not cringe. God is beyond thought and emotion. God is what ties us all together.

The story of Adam and Eve sounds too complex for you.

I think you conceptualize God too much. You make God into something that God isn't.

First of all, God is a loving God, and he forgives his children for their mistakes, even if we don't ask for it. Besides, who knows if Adam and Eve were even real? They're figures used to tell a story, teach a lesson.

God is a God of mercy and is very forgiving.

Luk 17:4 And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him

um i kinda get wat you are sayin but they asked for his forgiveness so i dont know that is somthin you will either have to pray about or just wait till you get to heaven to determine?

I wouldn't think so. Baby Jesus was born from Mary through birth. Eve's punishment was for women to give birth. Without them eating from that tree, the Son of God would not have been born.

God knows the future, so he knew what adam and eve were going to do. What I want to know is why he allowed them to eat from the forbidden tree. I ask everyone this and nobody can give me an answer. Well, one time someone said because god gave us free will, but still. Why would he allow his precious children to fall into such evil? For the sake of free will? Sounds pretty stupid to me. Then again, I am not god so I don't understand these things. If anything, I think he cringes in anger every time he looks down at the world. I mean look at it this way, imagine creating a being that you considered to be everything you ever wanted it to be. These beings were your children, they were a striking image of you and your personality, morals, and what not. Then one day someone comes along and makes them eat some food that turns them into something that you are against. Something that you hate with every fiber of your being. However, you provide your creations with a method of coming back into your good graces through free will. Who would you hate? The tree that provided the fruit? The person who convinced them to eat the fruit? Your very own creations?

If I were god, I would hate the one who tricked them into eating this forbidden food, I would hate those who would not change their evil ways even though I tell them how to enter back into my good grace... and I would beat myself up for putting something in their garden that had the potential to destroy them. Then again, I am sure god does not cry every time he thinks about that tree. Seriously, who can truly understand God? Maybe the fall of man kind was for the best?
