Dirk bike clutch problem 83 yz 125?

Okay, so my question is, what part do I need to buy to fix this problem.
My clutch lever wont disengage the plates. i start bike in neutral (put in neutral via pedal) then I press the clutch lever and put in first and it just stalls. Lever is working perfectly fine, but something inside broke or something, do I need new plates or whats the part/s called?

There is no problem with the cable, i got this problem when i was riding my bike. I could tell something was wrong cause gears were harder to change so i hurried home

The plates can be gummed up and stuck together if it's been sitting a long time.Or the clutch cable could be stretched possibly ready to break.Pull the cover and look over what you have before you go buy new parts.You might need a hand impact driver(the kind you hit with a hammer.About 20 bucks ) to get the cover screws loose with out messing them up.
edit the cable could still be stretching prior to breaking.If it stretches if wont pull the lever far enough to dis engage the clutch all the way.

I had that problem once and it turned out to be the clutch cable was out of adjustment so the clutch wasnt disengaging fully when pulling the lever. Double check that before buying a clutch kit.
