Then figure out where you want to go, calculate the miles and estimate the grade and length of the worst hills. figure out your minimum speed to be safe if in car traffic much.

Estimate the biggest load the ebike would have to carry including your self and a shopping trip..

Lastly have an honest appraisal of your bicycling ability, and how much you will assist the motor.

1)DO NOT GET A BIKE FROM WALMART! EVER! They are junk and won't last you very long. They are use cheap components and are much heavier than a quality bike. Since you are after an electric bike, odds are you want it to be a reliable method of transportation. Better bikes will last you a lot longer. Cheap bikes from discount stores are great for hanging in the garage and do ok if rarely actually used as a bike.
