Is a 87 yamaha venture 1300 a good all around touring bike ? Or is a honda gold wing better? GW is probably better because there are more of them and parts are easier to come by. If you are touring it's easier to find a Honda shop in a strange town when you need one than Yamaha. Also there are a lot more after market accessories for the GW. You can pick up an old GW pretty cheap compared to the same year Harley. well the 87 yamaha has tires for the ice and resisted sliding and drifting but the honda gold is good for more like up the mountain and sand dunes so it all depends on the season and where you want to bike.
