About Giant FCR3 & TREK 7.2FX?

Hello,

I want to purchase a touring bike for a long distant trip. I am now focusing on Giant FCR 3 & TREK 7.2FX. They are both excellent bikes. Can anyone help me to decide? Moreover, I have to install a rear rack, therefore I am wondering whether these two bikes can install one or not, which is very important for my trip. Thank you!!!

Trek and Giant are extremely competitive with each other and are pretty close in quality. I love Trek and that is what I ride but I would have to go with the Giant on this one. It is slightly lighter and has better tires. Both are great choices and you can not go wrong either way.

*Edit* Another reason I chose the Giant over the Trek is that you seem too close up to the handlebars on the Trek and the saddle is not as comfortable as the giant. To be completely sure test ride them. It is all a matter of preference but I still stand by the Giant on this one.

*Edit* Both bikes are compatible with rear racks and a rear rack is a nice addition so you can carry extra equipment. This is a nice inexpensive one that can be found at target. Bell makes some of the best bike equipment for the price. Good luck and have fun on your biking trip!
