I have an old Fuji Special Tourer in decent condition. It needs a tune up and a seat. Worth it to sell? |
Steel bodied Fuji Special Touring 10 speed bike in decent condition. Have another bike now and am looking to sell (cheap of course) Any ideas what to ask. Thanks it could be of value depending on sooo many things; rust, type of tubing, wheels, crankset, components, size, etc. I would ask to put a note up at a bike shop. At a yard sale, that could be a $10 bike because nobody (but me) is looking for it. However, to someone who wants to start mid-paced touring, or wants to do his/her first duathlon or triathlon, it could be worth $75-100. It's all in the eyes of the buyer. Contact some local triathlon groups, maybe even take it to an event or two. I've seen people doing tries on mtb's and hybrids. Don't expect to get too much. Older bikes usually don't have that much value unless it's something collectible like a Schwinn Krate bike ... Pea Picker, Apple Krate, Lemon Peeler ... etc. If you ever see one of those at a yard sale buy it. |

Trek and Giant are extremely competitive with each other and are pretty close in quality. I love Trek and that is what I ride but I would have to go with the Giant on this one. It is slightly light... Money shouldn't;t be the only motivation/Think of how Great you would look once you shed those pound off. First off Diet is the main thing eat healthy and right. You all ready had your time to... i took an overnight train from paris to london and it look about 4 hours. ...GW is probably better because there are more of them and parts are easier to come by. If you are touring it's easier to find a Honda shop in a strange town when you need one than Yamaha. Also ...
