How do you remove the pegs and the wheel reflectors on a BMX bike? |
Its a Redline 1.2 if that helps at all Pegs- you will need a long socket extension. Reflectors are clipped on, just slide them off. The pegs are probably fastened to the rear wheels with the same "fastening nuts" that are used to fasten the wheel iteslf. If that is the case ( like mine are), you need to reach inside the pegs with an extension and the proper size socket - whatever size that is- and remove the pegs that way. After removing the pegs, put the fastening nuts back on and you should be back in business. As for the wheel reflectors, turn the center fastener counter clockwise (I think) with a screw driver and things should loosen up enough to finagle the reflectors out of the wheels. BTW, please don't use a hammer. That will invite unwanted damage. Get a hammer and smash it off!!! |
