What should I do with my old BMX Bike? |
Ok I have a old black & gold Royce Union FX760 BMX Bike thats been sitting in my basement for years.Its still in good condition just has a bent rear axle.Should I fix it up or should I junk it? If you're not using it anymore why not fix it up and donate it to a kid that doesn't have a bike. That gets it out of your basement and gives you a reason to sleep well at night. if you would like to take the time and get the new axle, keep it. if you want to start new and get a new bike, go for it. if you want the money, first check the retail on it and then you can sell it on craigslist, ebay and anyother websites you sell stuff on. remember if it is a real collectible, i would hang on to it. good luck!!! If you think you might use it again it'd be a great project fixing it up. If you're not going to maybe you could donate it to some charity shop and someone else could fix it and use it. At least you'll have a bit of extra space in your basement. if you dont want it take it to the broken spoke they give you money for your bike sell it for like $50-$70.00 |

BMX are easier to start of with becaus there alot lighter than MTBs so you can jump easier and do tricks easier. You should get a norco BMX or an eastern. I have got the norco rev its the best bike... Working in a Bike Shop, I get to work with many of those companies and have to say that We the People and Eastern are the easiest to work with regarding warranties and having nice, well built frame... turn your bike upside down and spin the wheel. if it seems to be spinning straight, the dent didnt affect if. but if its spinning crooked, you might want to havve it repaired. ...mongoose, eastern, redline, and gt are all great bike manufacturers and they dont always give you the highest price possible. my favorite bmx website is danscomp.com they have everything you or ... i would say fbm, united, colony, fit some people may have different opinions on that but those four names are popular ...FITBIKECO, the best bmx brand out there, if you wanna spend around 400 dollars u can get the fit am (which is what i have, and its 30 pounds, (mine weighs out to about 29) 3-piece cranks, and more... Pegs- you will need a long socket extension. Reflectors are clipped on, just slide them off. ...just buy different tires that have dirt tread on them. i use my "park" wheels on dirt doesnt make to much difference i find. ... |
