First motorbike.. honda shadow?

I'm nearly old enough to get my motorbike L's and im deciding what bike i should get.

My brother has a nice BMW R65, but its always breaking down (like every european vehicle is lol) so i would like to get something more reliable. so im thinking japanese bikes maybe

I really dont like the racing bike look. i love harleys, triumphs (dream bike is a triumph bonnie) and all the chopper type bikes. so im thinking the honda shadow, it looks pretty good, i can use it as a learner bike cause it isnt too powerful and i can afford one. plus being honda is has the reliabality im looking for

yes? no? maybe? think i should? lol c'mon help!

Most people over here are not familiar with the linceing process, so you amy want to explain that you have to ride a small bike first for a year. So you cant jump on a Bonneville RIGHT NOW.

You seem to have the honda Shadow figured out and in your sights. Go for it . We can't say much about the small bikes here because our laws are different and we do not see many small displacement bikes in the USA. NObody rides a small bike, if they can kill themselves with a big bike instead.

A suggestion, Logon to LONDONBIKERS and ask on their website, which bike best suits your specs. they can give you british specific help, and details we never pay attention to.

Shadow's make good first bikes to learn on ,and the 500cc version will give you plenty of power that you won't get bored with and a lot better for highway use ,just remember to wear your helmet and all the safety gear you can afford to get then ride safe and look out for the other drivers because they are not looking for you ,take a MSF course in your area

I have a 95 VT600-C Shadow VLX with over 72,000 trouble free miles on it. Its a great motorcycle, will do highway speeds with a passenger, sits low, handles well and gets 50-70 mpg.

When I first bought it, a lady friend said it looked, "elegant".

I'd buy it again.

I have a 2008 Shadow Aero 750, Great bike! Comfortable ride and plenty of power. Turns lots of heads (even the Harley riders around here). I had one to seek it out in a parking lot and take a spot right next to me. It was VERY affordable and is a shaft drive.

sports bikes r so much slicker n sexier and attracting of hotter girls

dont get dirty chopper bkes there for robust rusty raspy biker men

go for it

my shodow has 56 thou on it still runs great
