I am finding mixed reviews for Micargi bicycles, who has the scoop??? ?

I want to buy a beach cruiser bike, 24" wheels with 15" frame but I am having problems locating this. The one I really want is a Greenline but they are completely out of stock so I am looking for an alternative. I have seen some nice looking bikes made by Micargi but am also picking up good and bad (more bad) reviews about this company and their product. Who can tell me about their experiences with this company and their brand?

Looks isn't everything, especially when it comes to bicycles.

Well, from the looks of it, Micargi bikes are at about the same level as the typical Walmart bike. Even their carbon fiber bikes have poor component selections which leads me to believe these are factory specced bikes. Let me explain...

Many factories have "catalog" bikes with a standard set of components (usually very cheap) to attract the corporate bike buyer. The Buyer then takes this base model and changes the specifications to suit their needs... everything from the color to the drivetrain to the frame material might be changed before it is all over.

Anyway, it seems that the people that ordered these bikes opened a Chinese catalog and poked their finger down on a picture then asked the factory to change the decals. Not a good thing to do.

So, were it me, I'd shy away from those bikes and if you want one of similar quality go to Walmart. If you want a better-than-Walmart bike visit your local bike shop... believe it or not they actually do have good low priced bikes there.
