What are typical repairs might I encounter as a dirt bike owner? I am planning to buy a 2006 YZ250 Yamaha? |
It has only been ridden a few times according to the seller I love seeing some of the answers people come up with. Its it a 2 stroke or a 4 stroke. Typical maintenance issues would be valve adjustments, tire replacement, chain/sprocket replacement, fork seal replacement, and you need to clean the dirt off of it after you ride it. Other minor issues may come up over time but any of that stuff can be done with just a few hand tools and some mechanical inclination on your part. its a 2 stroke so it will need a little more matinece than a 4 but not much,(if any) if yer just riding but if you race or do alot of hard riding it might need a little, but that is a great bike and i would def. get it if i had a chance. good luck! |

You are already too big for a 125 and will outgrow even more very quickly. I dont think a 250 is more dangerous for you. The geometry of the bike and suspesion should be more suited... yes the crf 150 is actually supposed to be one of the best built bikes right now i would go with it yeah it will be faster but like everybike you will get used to it... ...give it more HP (around 10 mph) and it sounds cooler ;) ...YES i Guess ...one of 2 things come to mind. 1st remove your spark plug and replace it if its black and sooty. if that doesnt fix it, sounds like the pilot jet or slow speed jet is clogged in the carb, which is k... |
