How do you shift a dirt bike

Hi I was just wondering how you shift a dirtbike thanks you..

all you got to do is pull up on the shifter or kick down, if it has a clutch, while your riding you have to pull in the clutch, make sure your giving it no gas, and shift up and slowly let the clutch go and give it a little gas as your letting the clutch go. and as your riding, you close the throttle, pull the clutch in, shift up, let the clutch go and give it gas. it takes a while but after a little time practicing you should be good and youll be used to it.

People slow down now. If its a little crf 70 or something he doesnt have a clutch to pull. But its probably not. lol So. Pull in the clutch, (left lever on handlebars) and shift down to first. Slowly let go of the clutch while also giving it some gas. You'll probably stall it the first few times you try it. (I know I did. lol) Then while you are moving, pull in the clutch and shift up for 2,3,4,5. Same thing for downshifting, Pull in clutch lever and shift down. Easy as that.

pull in the clutch(left thingyy) press down for 1st and up for the rest.
but it goes 1,neutral,2,3,4,5 so press it harder when going into 2nd from 1sr gear

r u sereoius u dont know how to shift a dirtbike idk if u should ride one if u dont even no that all u do is pull in the clutch if it has one and push down for 1st and up for 2 3 4 5

pull the clutch, (which is the left break looking thing)!!!
then push up on the gear (which is the left foot peg thing!!!!!!!!!!good luck

The shifting pattern varies on each bike, but the last couple responses are correct.

pull in the clutch then press the shifter down(thats 1st gear) then go up for 2,3,4etc

pull in the clutch and shift up or down with your foot

first shift it down then keep going up i hope you know where lol
