Anyone know anything about a good folding bike for use with the buses? |
Ive been looking a bike called the Downtube and possibly a Dahon but they seem a little large for the bus? Need it for longer journeys too. The Downtbe is cheaper and seem pretty good... just don't know if it is suitable for the bus!! The Breezer Zag 8 or Zig 7 are both great. They are classy and very useful. You can fold them in less than 20 seconds and they have everything youn need to park safley and be seen by cars in the night. Plus they are comfortable. If you go to the bike brand websites, it's possible to find the folding dimensions of each bike. I have a Downtube and its a pretty good bike. I've never taken it on a bus but I have taken it on a train and had no problems. When I was shopping for a folding bike, I came across a good folding bike buyers guide at http://www.foldingcyclist.com/folding-bi... that helped me make a decision, you might find it useful. |
