Why does my new scooter need to be kick started every time?

I just bought a brand new scooter, charged the battery, then installed it. I understand it needs to be kick started the first time, but it's been several days and I still have to do this every day. After running for a while, I can turn off the engine then start it electrically with my remote. However, there's no difference when using the red start button on my scooter--there's not even a noise at all regardless of whether the bike has been ridden recently or not. Any ideas why and how to fix this start button? I could only think of 2 things: (1) I installed the battery wrong. But, I mean, it's just red to +, black to -. I can't have done this wrong! (2) the button's wiring is disconnected from whatever it's suppose to connect to. This would suck because it's brand new. I have no idea where the connection is supposed to go to, though, so I won't know how to fix this :(

Dude, if it's brand new take it back to the dealer for warranty. Or did you buy chinese? So solly charly?
