I want a to company like robopets or w/e to make a robotic horse? i have this idea please look!?

ok well im 13, so iknow what most kids want....last year, i got an electric scooter, and found out that soetimes whenu go over bumps, it feellik ur riding a horse, so i thought, y cant taht place, irobot or w/e ( the place that makes roboraptor and robodog or something) make a mechanical horse that u can ride so ehres my ideas...
-it would b abit smaller that a regular horse
-water proof, so incase it rain swhile riding it wont mess up
-can walk on grass, paved areas, and thru a bit of water ( such as a small creek), and also thru some bumpy areas, like thru leaves in the woods
-the hooves would b a very strong metal, maybe the type of metal the use to make cars, and theyd b rather big, bigger than a noraml horse, but thats so it wont tip
-the ears on the horse are there because they have a voice recording system, kinda like voice dials on a phone, and theyd understand only ur voice, and when u turn it on, u say the horses name and ...(continued in details)

-theyd come with no manes or tail, because the hair would get stuck, or in ur way, and when riding u may not be able to see, plus itd get seriously nasty
-they controls for making it go faster and slower are on the reigns, which is leathe that is attahed to the horses head, and when pulle right the neck will turn, making th body turn with it, and on the reign there will b slow walk, walk, trot, gallop, idk about canter that may b a bit fast
please tell me what u think!! i want to get it copyrighted or seomthing so maybe i could sell it to a company and theyd make it because its my dream to have one!!! theyd have to stay out sid and it comes with a cover up that u put over it and zip so it wont b wet....my dad said i have to make one so i can get it copyrighted, not jsut the idea, but idk...please help

It's a good idea, and I don't mean to bring you down, but that sounds VERY expensive to make. I'm not sure a company would make it because of the costs. Not many people would likely be able to afford it, especially the technology it would require to have voice recognition, and the ability for it to actually move the way a horse would move. That's complex stuff.

But if you can figure out the technology and distribution.. it does sound like something kids would want.. Keep refining the idea, and maybe when you're older this sort of technology will be less expensive to manufacture. :]

well i suppose it could work , but you would really need to market it well, it sounds to me like it would be expensive to manufacture and could possibly have serious malfuntcions. You would need to make different sizes for short, tall, skinny, or large people with real horses their bone structure is strong allowing it to hold the rider, a mechanical horse may be made out of metal but it still may not hold a larger person, not mention if you build a horse that is 5 feet of the ground and a 6 foot person wants one, you would run into problems. Your dad is right you would need to actually make one, having ideas about it wou;d be like telling someone what you are thinking about cooking them and then just telling them that you had that idea and want them to imagine eating it, if that makes any sense. In order to produce such a machine you would need top technology, many parts to make it, a large amount of money to invest in it, and a very large factory, which unfortunetly is not readily available to a 13 year old. Though it is a very interesting idea. Keep that mind going and on day you may be able to produce a robohorse

That would be great!By the way,galloping is way faster then a canter.Maybe the people who made A.S.I.M.O.the robot may be interested in trying a prototype.Maybe if you are really serious you could get a Macano kit that has working parts and learn how to make moving parts work and then try making a horse that walks to begin with.The toy shops have just brought out a small horse that children can sit on and I think it neighs.Your dream might be closer then you know.
