My Daughter has 2 prosthetic legs and we need a mobility scooter FOR KIDS.Anyone know a website to get one?

We need a kids mobility scooter, preferably pink. Not Whizz kids (they are not very good - the application process is horrendous) money is no object. We are looking for a supplier or website.

Is she a double above knee or below knee?

How old is she and how long has she been wearing the legs. If she's still really young and has a relitivly good sense of balance it might be a good idea not to encourage the use of a scooter. For longer trips thats one thing but you don't want her to rely on the scooter and strop using her legs altogether. You need to practice walking in order to improve gait. Depending on how long she has been an amputee and the level of amputation it may be better to encourage more walking then less walking. Having grown up as an amputee myself ( granted I am only a single leg amp) I know that as a young child you need to develop good walking habits. If you don't work at it as a kid yu will regret it as a teenager and adult. I know lots of double leg amps who have good gaits and rely on little or no aids to assist them.

However if your child really does need a scooter for occasional long trips it may be best to consult your prostitist or childrens rehab. IF they have suggested a scooter they should be able to suggest a line that works well with other kids in simmilar situations
