Is there a break down service for mobility scooters?

like an an AA service for mobility scooters in the UK to transport a scooter to your home if it breaks down when you are out using it?

Try one of the roadside assistance insurers where you live you may be surprised.

I know that in Australia the RACV has a roadside assistance service for powered wheelchairs - not sure if they cover scooters but as I said just check them out and see if they have something simalar.

When my scooter was new, I got a 3-year insurance policy, at great expense, which included a recovery service. After that, I haven't had anything like it. I've been rescued by my neighbour a few times. I have thought it might be a good business for someone to set up. I have asked the RAC about this, but they don't offer it.

simple answer, yes there s, most mobility aplliance retailers have a local engineer who they not only use to servce the scooters but who will also come out and get you going again or get you back home, although for the recovery there may be a charge.

You should try the company in which you bought it from may be they may have a service. I don't know, I also have a scooter and never had though about that!

Contact your local Vocational Rehabilitation. Even if they can't help they may know someone who can. Call scooter retailers and service. Ask them. They may know things that can help you.

It's called my husband! seriously if there isn't it would be a good little business for someone locally! I always worry about the battery and how far mine will actually go.

I'm not sure on this one, but I think if you were to contact National Mobility, they'd be better poised to give the right answer.
