What would you Recommended for a Pit Bike? |
I am looking into buying new or used pit bike. I own a few motorcycles ('84 V65 Magna, '76 Honda CB500T & '72 Honda SL100) but I want one I can just throw in my car or truck when I go camping. Plus maybe a little trail riding, nothing to serious though, just for fun. I've never heard of Jetmoto, but I'm guessing it is Chinese. Generally the Japanese motorcycles that are considered "pit bikes" are the Honda CRF50, Yamaha TT-R50, Kawasaki KLX110 and Suzuki DR-Z110. These are very small bikes, actually kids bikes. There is no true definition of just what a pit bike is. In pit bike racing terms it generally means no larger than a 12" rear wheel. For what you are planning to do I would recommend something more like a mid-sized bike, CRF150, TT-R125, etc. |
