Do you have a sense of pride about your dogs..?

OK,
So this weekend I was walking Violet and a boy on a bike tells me" Whoa that's a big dog" I could feel my chest pop out as I tell him this is my 8 month old princess Violet.. I love having large dogs, I love the bully breeds in general. I had a pit and when people would tell me how beautiful his markings were I remember my chest would pop out. God forbid some one tells me how well they walk or if they are well behaved, My head starts to swell.Maybe it's because I love them so much and having some one confirm what I already believe to be fact..? IDK.
When does your dog make your chest pop out with pride?

I hear that pastient paws.. THanks Cavalier Girl- I got worried I was a wierdo when I read the first awnser...
:)

Me too!

I don't get the 'big dog' comments YET, but I do get the "He's so well behaved for a puppy!" and the "what a beautiful dog!" comments on Max. Roxy gets similar comments, only hers is on her agility and speed, they're so impressed with her abilities! Sparky gets the 'show ring' comments, the ones about his coat, gait, etc.

I love to hear people talk about my dogs, it just further inflates the fact that "yes, indeed, my dogs are the best ones in the world!"

:)

I'm very proud of our dogs, especially at dog shows. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside when they win - it shows that the judge recognizes them as a beautiful example of the breed. I also love getting compliments from people and neighbors - I've heard everything from how adorable they are to how unique their orange color is. Even the tiniest compliments are appreciated, and it just makes me more and more proud of my guys <3

Absoulutley! Whenever we are walking my baby (Charlie) a crowed of people come saying how beautiful it is and that he is the cutest dog they have ever seen. I start to blush sometimes. Everyone in my neighborhood loves Charlie and always fight to take care of him when I am in vacation. LOL. =D

Great question! *stars your question* Here you go! You deserve it. ;)

Mine is when my family & friends come watch me at agility & there shocked!
My husband told me that at the last competion him & my mum were in the car watching me & my mum turned to my hubby & said "oh she is good isnt she" I was bursting with pride.
With corrie its when im walking along people actually whisper
"oh look at his eyes how cute"
"wow look at the border collies colour"
But was offended when i heard one person say
"what is it?!" cheeky boogers.
So yeh its great to proud.

Yes! It makes me so proud when people say how lovely he is and "what a lovely little face he's got!" I constantly get stopped about what he is (being a wirehaired dachshund people assume he's a mix) and I love it how I can list a 101 things about him and the breed in general. I think it's so nice when someone compliments your dog, it's nice how they have an interest. I just hope my kids are as cute! ;-) *stars*

well ya,when ever i take my boys out of there home people stop me to ask what breed of dogs they are(a whippet and a italian greyhound). i am proud when people tell me how well behaved and handsome they are.my whippet is a show quality so i'm most proud when he wins at fun matches, because he is doing what he loves, and is not stressed by the whole show dog thing and when he runs at top speed with the tennis ball in his mouth, because he looks so happy.

Oh yes, I love when people compliment my dog! Most comments I get on on the ears. She has gorgeous, big ears. At training classes, people are impressed how fast she catches on, especially at agility.

I don't get many comments on my dog's behavior. She's well behaved, but since she's a small dog, I don't think people see it as impressive. (Unless their dog is totally untrained.)
.

When my IG/Chi/Pug mix walks her two front legs move in a way that makes her look like she's prancing and it draws attention from all sorts of people....she looks so adorable walking down the road.

Also she may be only 15 pounds but she is one of the fastest dogs in the group of my friend's dogs and they're all large dogs with long legs. She can outrun any of them!

Most of the time, when I took my beagle and lab to their vet everyone went oooohhhhhh, they r so healthy and have a beautiful coat of hair and I take pride in them because I take very good care of them, then I have a chihuahua name jasmine she goes everywhere with me when I don't have to leave her in the car, she is well known at the bank they call her by her name and everyone comes to the window to see her and she always gets a biscuit. This is long but that is how much I have pride in them

I know what you mean!! I have two Jack Russell's and they light up my world everyday! People that aren't true animal lovers just don't understand, this is what I normally tell people... "There's nothing like coming home at the end of a day and seeing those waging tails and knowing they couldn't be happier that you are home"

So let your head swell and be a proud mama!!

Yes, I do too! People always tell me that she is beautiful and that makes me feel proud. Also she always rolls over for people to pet her belly and everyone says what a good dog she is. I also have stickers on my car that say I love my Hound Dog. I also feel proud of how good she can smell since she is a hound. I know its weird, but I understand what you mean.

Oh, yeah. I've posted pictures on here before, and gotten things like "Lexy is GORGEOUS" Or "Sam's a cutie!"

I love them so much--but wow. It makes me feel great! Especially when the vet is always saying about how our Sam makes hearts melt--you cant walk by him without wanting to cuddle.

I agree with you 100 percent..
I have a Shih Tzu and love her.. I refuse to clip her because her beautiful coat just bounces when she walks with her head held hi.. Everyone we meet stops to see her and she loves it. her tail goes a mile a minute and she just glows more. She is presently expecting and her pups are all sold w/o even thinking about it because she is such a doll

I am the same way. I used to be a "small dog" person until we got Max. He is doted on more than our little mutt, and people compliment him and want to play with him over her. I am proud to own such a great dog, I think I tell Max how handsome he is more than I tell my husband. (And Max can't even understand me)

I Had To Rehome By Puppy Now Im Depressed

Me, too! I took my Aussie puppy to the fair last week. Everyone loved her & I was so proud!
