Motobecane mirage pro OR Giant OCR road bike?

I decided now that I will get a road bike and I am choosing between motobecane mirage pro or giant ocr. They cost about the same.Which should I get? Thanks.

Both are good choices but the Motobecane can be had for about $300 less than the comparable OCR2. The OCR3 actually has lower end components than the Mirage Pro. You'll at least get a 9 speed 3300 Sora components with Tiagra rear on the Mirage Pro compared to the 8 speed 2200 components on the OCR3. I'd spend a little extra and get the OCR2 but if it was out of my budget, I'd get the Mirage Pro. Still the most important question hasn't been asked- Which one fits you best?

After much research I got a Motobecane Mirage Sport last year. I have been very happy with it. Closest to the price on that was the trek 1000 at like 300 bucks more.

My main reservation was buying without trying it out first.

Basically boils down to: is it worth it to you to pay slightly more for a bike with slightly lower grade components in exchange for being able to try it out first, having it assembled for you (its not that hard btw) and not having LBS employees look down at you for buying a motobecane?
