What is a good dirt jump bmx bike that is cheap? |
I am looking for a bike that will basically last forever like my old Schwinn automatic trail(got hit by car). eastern grim reaper...kinda heavy but..worth it! or maybe you want something lighter.....dno i think that if you watn a MTB DJ you should look into giant or specialized, but if yiou want something really good, look into yeti bikes...but if you want a bmx, check out eastern, kink or fit bikes... and also check out www.danscomp.com and www.jrbicycles.com Look into Felt's line of BMX bikes, I had the 06' Base 18.5 until it was stolen, it was a very good bike. Here's 50 of them for under $250 well for $250 get a Haro Backtrail..I had one it last me 3 years until it broke going off a 11 foot jump! |

Sorry, those are the best places to look. You'll need to keep looking for what you want. I simply isn't like shopping for a new bike where size and color are readily available. ...Either you have a very old Schwinn with a 7/8" steerer or you are explaining wrong. I think the latter is the case. If you are measuring inside the steerer for a stem measurement you need a... somewhat better parts on the Mesa ...It's difficult to answer this one as we don't know how your dad might ride it (cruising around neighborhood, bike path, a little offroad, road). Huffy and Schwinn have made some wonder... Go to Kelley Blue Book.com and look it up, for yourself. It'd take you just as much time as it would take us. As far as the bike, maybe $50. ...Are we sure that's not a cross-frame? It kinda looks like it. That is what you'll probably need for 27 inch wheels, but for 25 bucks you can always try it. It says it comes with wheels... The work must have been done at a refinisher since the Schwinn/Paramount factory hasn't been around for almost 20 years, maybe more. Unfortunately, just adding decals (to include the frame ... You should NEVER use grease (or greese) on a chain. Don't use 3 in 1 oil, vegetable oil, or motor oil either.
