Chicago Schwinn Paramount dating? |
My dad has given me his Chicago Schwinn Paramount track bike and I am working on restoring it. My dad says he is not sure about the year but he thinks it is a '72. I have the serial number. Is there anyway I can properly date it? Those old Paramounts rock!!! While I agree with the last answer, if they tell you that they can't verify it- which I highly doubt they'll say- but if they do, contact Waterford Bikes. The old Paramount people now run Waterford. Yuo could probably send them a pic with a pic of the serial number. Lots of times, builders can tell you that just by looking at them and Paramount is no exception. They were a completely different division of Schwinn that did their own thing. Paramount to Schwinn was like Mugen is today to Honda or AMG to Mercedes. They know their builds. Contact a Schwinn dealer or factory with frame number, they should be able to give you more details |

Huffy and Schwinn have made some wonder... Go to Kelley Blue Book.com and look it up, for yourself. It'd take you just as much time as it would take us.
