I want advice for a new bike similar to my Schwinn High Plains?

I wanted a bike that has Rapid Fire Thumb Shifters, and was light-weight. An aluminum frame will be good. My current Schwinn High Plains can be lifted up really easily. I prefer something that is a 21-speed. I have no set budget but I'd prefer to keep it under $500.

Go to your local bike shop, for $500 you can get something nice.
