If I put a 9 amp-hour battery where a 6 amp-hour goes(in a scooter) would it hurt anything? Amp-hours refers to the storage capacity of a battery. As long as the battery physically fits in the space (the 9Ah battery has 50% more plate area than the 6Ah, so it will be physically bigger), and the voltage is the same, then you will be fine.
