Can i charge my 12 volt battery with a 6v charger? |
the 12 volt battery is out of an electric scooter and i want to charge it up but only have a 6v battery charger...would this be ok? No, it won't work, the battery will be pushing electrons into the charger at a higher voltage than the charger is pushing electrons into the battery. The net result will be that the battery will discharge. No this will not work as a 6v charger will only bring your battery voltage to 6-7 volts.You should be able to get a service station or parts store to charge it for you Yes it will work but like you said it will take considerably longer. |
