Couple of Scooter Questions?

I'm wondering about insurance for scooters in Illinois ... anybody have experience and can give me an approximate cost per month?
Also, does anybody own a Honda Ruckus and if so, what do you think of it?

The scooter isn't going to hurt anything in a crash so the insurance is just to pay for your Emergency Room visit (this isn't going to really happen but this is how the Insurance Company looks at you). I think a brand new Ruckus would be $1,100 a year or $800 if you don't want your bike repaired if you crash.
I had an early type Ruckus and it was so much fun. One time i'm scooting down the street at 35 miles per hour and a police car pulls me over with lights and siren. He said that a burglary had just taken place and witnesses said the attacker had sped off on a motorcycle. I almost laughed out loud. Nobody on a Ruckus looks like a dangerous bike gangster. But for a few minutes i was America's Most Wanted.
Get the scooter. Of course, in few months you will want a 250cc bike. That's life.
