Going to a biker meet this weekend, riding my Japanese sport bike, What about all the Harleys being there?

Am I welcome there with all those HD's?
Should I pretend to act excited when i see a custom HD?

Going to Thunder In the Valley in PA

LMAO For some reason I don't think anybody will even know you are there.

All bikes are welcome to motorcycles gathering. I hope you are not being racist by owning a Japanese bike. Motorcycle riders are bonded by being free on the road. I know majority of HD riders are professional people who are either doctors or lawyers wanting to get away from their daily routine.

Why "act" like you an idiot, when you can be yourself and admire different motorcycles. Ride your bike and enjoy the event!

It doesn't matter what you ride as long as you ride. I've been to many "meets" or rallies as we call them down here and i have never owned a Harley. Don't "act" any way just be your self and enjoy the atmosphere and the brotherhood of bike riders. the only problems you will have is if you start acting like a Jack *** that thinks he's something else because your on a sportbike. Everyone is accepted unless you give people a reason not to. Just enjoy the meet and the people, and have a good time.

I've been riding motorcycles for 31 years. My first bikes were all Hondas. Later in life I rode several different Harley models for about 11 years.
Mechanically I still like a Honda, you can't kill those things if you try. For a cool ride I like the new Suzuki cruisers. If you want prestige and a nice sound from the exhaust, ride a Harley. I just don't like to give my money away for a brand name.
I recently purchased a new bike after being out of it for a couple years. I went shopping with an open mind, looking for a cool looking cruiser with good quality for the least amount of money. I came home with a Honda 1100 cruiser.
I still have a thing for Harleys but I don't have to be on one to prove anything.
Anyway I just went on a run over the weekend and 80 percent of the bikes were HDs. Everyone got along and there was nothing said. There are still a few hardcore bikers out there who think you have to be on a Harley but that's fading away. HD is still riding its reputation and why not its a good one.
Ride your bike whatever make it is. Enjoy the ride and forget about what anyone else thinks.
Chances are no one cares anyway.

i did west coast thunder on my 1985 honda goldwing gl1200LTD and i did not have any problems. the fact my bike was originally sold at skip fordyce when it sold hondas and harley was neat. the ride went from the harley dealer to riverside national cemetery. it was awesome!

Hopefully You all are going think your bikers not put each other into groups. Over hear most of us just try to stick together as bikers. We have so many Government people trying to legislate new rules and regs against us we need to stick together to fight it. I hope your more free over there.

I've been to Thunder in the Valley....Good time.
Just don't go shooting your mouth off about how much faster/better whatever. YOU WILL find trouble with that kind of attitude.
Be yourself & you'll have a good time...
P.S. Stay of the burn-out box! haha

Maybe you could try being just another rider there to have fun instead of the hate spewing persona you project here.Or are you headed there to see if you can find a few gas tanks to key like you've alluded too in the past?

nobody cares about what kind of bike you ride everyone has to start somewhere. when you make enough money to throw away 20 to 30 grand then you can ride a harley to those meets untill then enjoy your bike and ride safe.

Well....it IS called Thunder in the Valley.....not rrrreeeeeeeeehhhhhnnnnt rrreeeehhhhhnnnnt rrrreeeeeeeehhhhnnnnnnnt in the Valley. But you can come anyways if you promise to be nice.

If you go there with the I got a sport bike and it is the greatist then you got trouble but if you go as another biker and want to have fun you will. It is all up to you.

anyone is welcome, going there with a chip on your shoulder or a preconceived notion of sorts won't help you out though.

you should get yourself some sort of insulting tshirt and then wheelie past the hd crowd, they'll like that

Stay away from RUBs like (Andy) and you should be OK.

Carry an ice cube and as you walk up to a custom HD rub it on your nipples. They'll think you're one of the guys. ; ^ )

A. don't park to close or you'll get Harley kooties
B. don't fake interest in anything

should have no problem there , you might find more bikers like you , and after being there you might want a HOG

Who cares we riders all share a common bond.

just go and have a good time , dude........with the new credit card style Harley riders its just a damn fashion show anyway

You won't be the only person there on a crotch rocket. I'm sure you'll blend right in.

Just smile and try not to laugh at them when they tell you how much they paid for their outdated ritsy redneckmobile.
