What is the Best Kawasaki Ninja, or other Sport Bike in this case? |
I have been looking on eBay motors, for a Kawasaki Ninja. But my friend said there are way better bikes out there. I'm aware that there are better bikes out there, but what are they? My price range is 0 - 12,000 USD, is this amount to much, or to little please help? Also what model, and year of Ninja would be best? Or the other bikes for that matter. Be specifick (spelling?) Thank you for your time, and help... I am partial to the Ninja 650, but for a new rider, the Ninja 250 is probably the best. It is small enough to to not get you in too much trouble, although that is relative, but it is also sporty enough to have a blast in the twisties. A lot of big sportbike owners are buying these as second bikes because they are fun and you can ride them all day long unlike the bigger torture racks. Keep in mind also, the smaller the bike the cheaper the insurance. For example, Farmers ins charges us $400 a year or less for the Ninja 636, 650, and 250 as long as our autos are aslo insured. Our 2 bikes that are over 1000cc's are so expensive that we had to place those with another carrier that allows lower limits. Check into what your insurance is going to cost before making your purchase because you are going to be very disappointed if you can't ride it after you buy it because of insurance costs. Then it won't matter what you buy. There's the Ninja 250R, the Ninja 500R, the Ninja 650R, the Ninja ZX6R, the Ninja ZX10R and the Ninja ZX14. well, there are about 6 different ninjas... my best bike was a Suzuki gsxr 600 had a ride on a ninja but found brakes were not too clever...r reg was a good year then i moved to a srad which was a great bike and good fun..all i can suggest is go with your own intuition you have to become a part of the bike, you don't really know till you have ridden different bikes..a bike is like a scary roller coaster once you get on you wont want to get off..good hunting... If you are looking for a first bike, this is a great site to check out. The people on here will help out in any way you need. I don't believe that a beginner bike rider should be starting out on a 600cc Supersport motorcycle. Check out the bike reviews on the site and pop in and ask questions. The forums are full of people who are willing to give you their oppinion of they riding experiences. Good Luck Are you a beginner? Typically Ninja 250/500s are for people who love their twisties or beginners. The 650 is an 'all purpose' bike. Quick enough for most anything, but not a hyperbike. The 1000, 1200 and 1400 are the ones that'll sheer your skin off...before you even hit the ground. (Lots of speed.) |
