What is the best beginer sports bike? |
What would be my best choice for a beginner rider. Before buying it i would take Motorcycle safety class and riding lessons. sv650 by suzuki is a great first bike if you want to start new but I would recommend a used 1998-2002 sportbike like a cbr600f4i or a 600 by yamaha, suzuki or kawasaki. The big upside of the honda is that it is fuel injected and will not give you any problems with carbs. Contrary to the first poster buells are not true sportbikes and do not produce the enough power to be considered one. i would go with any kawi, honda, yamaha,suzuki. make sure it is at least a 500 or 600 CC i started off with a 2007 250 ninja and got bore with in 4 month so i had to upgrade to 07 ZX-6R. honda (not really a sports bike, but decent) |

The R6 , GSXR 600 etc are all out sport bikes. For all round try something less extreme - save you on insurance , purchase cost etc AND is a more sensible step up for a year or two. Look at ... at that age, I would suggest learning to ride a dirt bike, Off road of course. There you can learn how to ride a bike and do wheelies ect. My favorite analogy: Say you want to learn how to juggle. You know nothing about how to do it other than it involves keeping more than two things in the air at a time.
