I am interested in buying a sport bike what should I get?

This will be my first bike and i'm not looking to spend a ton of money. I have read some other posts about the new 08 Ninja 250R so first should I buy this bike and how much am I looking to pay retail price not including insurance, gear ect.

If you have any other starter bike suggestions please tell me the pros and cons of it or direct me to the website, thanks.

Also is the Honda CBR-125 bike available in the US?

Buy the Ninja 250R. Although not a true sportsbike (more a sports tourer) its a great bike to start on. It handles, goes plenty quick enough and you wont get sore wrists and *** like the true sportsbikes. The CBR 125 is an ok bike too but only if you're little and dont want to do highway miles. Its way too underpowered for that, but a great bike around town. Not sure of price in the states becaus I live in Australia, but it is reasonably priced over here.
