Interesting survey: What is the best 1000cc super sport bike? |
2008 models All of the major magazines ranked the 2008 CBR1000rr as the bike to beat, although I am sure the link (to a suzuki site) from the guy above me will say differently. Bottom line who are you going to trust more the independent magazines and their test riders (many former racers) or the companies selling the bikes? From what I have read the new Honda make 20 more hp than the currant gsxr, which is a huge difference. Last year I got a Honda, it's a good bike but from what I hear this years bike would kill it, I kinda wish I would have held off another year. I also have an 02 CBR600f4i which has never given me a problem over these years, so I think Honda makes some very good bikes. Heck they are all good bikes, just that the major mags (sportrider, motorcyclist, etc) have rated the CBR as the best and I would take their word for it since to me the are all better bikes than I am a rider. hold on everyone... Understand that Im a R1 guy but heres the 2008 data and links to prove it... I think the the best 1000cc street bike is the one that makes you the happiest. The are all awesome machines, but if you got your heart set on a specific one, go with that. I can tell you from experience that buying a bike that everyone else likes but you don't won't make you happy when riding. It's all about the ride for sure. If you got the machine YOU want underneath you, it makes it all better. But if I had to choose, I still love the old RC51. Just something about that bike that makes me want to ride as much as I can! Obviously the fastest one since the only real reason to pick one over the other is for bragging rights. How many guys out there on liter bikes could even come close to getting all of the performance potential out of a 600cc sport bike?? Practically none of them. Most Definitley the Gixxer 1000 None. it has to be the gsxr 1000 i love them bike they are f**kin quick and really good looking to GSXR buell xb12sg |
