I leave for marine boot camp in two months. Is it a stupid idea to get a sport bike right now? |
I feel like i need to have a lot of fun before i leave. Just don't get Hurt and make SURE the payments are made while in BOOT. You will have to take special courses on base before you will be allowed to ride on base after you get your duty station, Good luck, have fun and SEMPER FI If you don't plan on getting injured have all the fun you want. But did have a buddy that got into an altercation and injured his hand rearranging someones features. He sat in "holding" until his injury was healed enough to start training. So for two months he was the drills beech boy mopping floors and running errands. So play hard but play safe! Just keep in mind, you may get stationed at a hardship spot where you won't be able to take it with you. Just something to consider.... It is never a stupid idea to buy something that goes really really fast, c'mon now. Why not? I took a 4 week vacation to Florida before I left for boot. Might as well live it up. |

When you pull it apart, you'll see what needs replacement. ...as said, ninja 250 isn't the most powerful of bikes.... but it's by far one of the easiest to learn on... if you're exceptionally tall/heavy (6foot or over, 250 puonds or over) you ... Buy the Ninja 250R. Although not a true sportsbike (more a sports tourer) its a great bike to start on. It handles, goes plenty quick enough and you wont get sore wrists and *** like the true spo... A 250 Ninja has alot going for it as a first sportbike. I used to call it a sheep in wolf's clothing because a 250 seems so insignificant and it looks so much like any fire breathing full on ... I'm about your height. I been riding since 1982. You need to get a bike with seat height of about 30 inches. The width of the seat also makes a big difference. You can also get other bik... 600s have more than enough power for a new rider, for quite a few they have too much power to learn on. If you respect the throttle until you have an understanding of the engines power band you sh... unless it's a small car, no. the muffler isn't designed for the exhaust volume of the automobile. ... |
